This March, AIG wants to highlight the Wonder Women in our lives: the everyday heroes, the MVPs, the Fantastic Females who inspire us on a daily basis, but who mightn’t always get the recognition they deserve.
She could be your mother, your neighbour, your cousin, your colleague, your wife, your daughter, your friend or your sister. Someone who’s a great listener. Someone who has shown courage in the face of adversity. Someone who always has a kind word & a smile on her face. Someone who rolls her sleeves up & gets stuff done, who feels the fear & does it anyway. Someone who never ceases to amaze you with her boundless energy & appetite for life. Or it could be someone who simply brightens up your day.
“We need women who are so strong they can be gentle, so educated they can be humble, so fierce they can be compassionate, so passionate they can be rational & so disciplined they can be free.”
Kavita Ramdas

Our #AIGFantasticFemale is Kathleen Colreavy, a true blue treasure who has been at the heart of Dublin LGFA for many years. Avoiding the limelight, she has worked tirelessly as County Secretary, Selector & in many other roles supporting women at club and county level, whether it’s washing jerseys or never missing a training session. Fittingly, Kathleen is being awarded a GAA President’s Award on International Women’s Day for her outstanding commitment & long service to Dublin football.
