Responsibility on our Roads

Ahead of this October Bank holiday weekend – the clocks back and the darker evenings, and as we move into the winter months,  there is a need for us all to take more care  when driving and watch out for pedestrians and cyclists. Additionally, with the number of deaths on our roads increasing, +32 more deaths in 2016  vs 2015,  it’s never been more important  to recognise how dangerous our roads have become and how we all have to take more responsibility.

Recent research conducted with a nationally representative sample of 1000 people was conducted to determine Irish attitudes towards road safety and driver behaviour on our roads.

The research conducted was used to measure Irish driver's opinions towards several topics such as the volume of Gardai on the road, road conditions, our attitude towards drink driving and mobile phones and who is responsible for increasing driver safety across the nation.
