New Zealand All Blacks v Ireland
On November 5th, 2016 the Irish Rugby team got its first ever win over the All Blacks in front of a 63,200 capacity Soldier Field, as part of the historic ‘Rugby Weekend’ event in Chicago, presented by AIG Insurance. The win, Ireland’s first over the opposition after 111 years trying, ended the consecutive World Champions' record 18 match unbeaten streak.
After an impressive first half from Ireland leaving them ahead 25 points to 8, the All Blacks came back hard in the second half putting the Irish under tremendous pressure but they couldn't quite turn the game as they did in 2013 with the score ending All Blacks 29 - 40 Ireland.
In Dublin on November 19th, the All Blacks will face the Irish again for a shot at redemption.
