Louise Kidd appointed Head of Professional Indemnity and Financial Institutions for Europe at AIG

We are delighted to announce that Louise Kidd has been promoted to Head of Professional Indemnity (PI) and Financial Institutions (FI) for Europe with AIG.

Louise Kidd has worked in Financial Lines for AIG since 2003 and was appointed Financial Lines Manager in 2011 and Liabilities & Financial Lines Manager in 2016 to February 2019.  Louise has extensive experience in Financial Lines, particularly Financial Institutions and responsibility for key major accounts.

Louise holds a Degree in Financial Services from Dublin Business School and a Diploma in Strategic Direction from the Institute of Directors.

She is a strong leader and advocate for various diversity and inclusion initiatives at AIG including the women and allies employee resource group (ERG) and is the executive sponsor of the disabilities and allies ERG. Louise was also the founder of the Game Changer Network initiative which is a mentoring group for women in business and women in sport.

Declan O’Rourke, AIG Ireland General Manager commented: “I am delighted for Louise that she has been promoted into a European role.  Since joining AIG in 2003 at the age of 20, Louise has rapidly advanced through the company from Technical Assistant to Underwriting to Managing Financial Lines, then Manager LFL, she led the international FI COP and is now Head of FI and PI for Europe.  And if that was not enough, she has also won an All-Ireland medal with the Dublin Ladies, got married, had 3 kids, studied by night for two degrees, founded a networking organisation, set up a fundraising committee for the Dublin Ladies team and volunteered to lead SCUP for FL for Europe.  I have no doubt Louise will go on to do more great things in the future.  On behalf of all the team, I would like to thank Louise for her great contribution to AIG Ireland and wish her all the best in her new role”.
