We've included all the fields we'll require to make the change you need. If you can't find your change below you can always call us at the relevant contact number listed here. Lines are open 9AM - 6PM, Monday to Friday. If you picked up your AIG Home Insurance policy from broker or a comparison site you will need to contact them directly in order to change any details of your existing policy.
NOTE: If you purchased your policy after the 25th of June, you can make changes to your policy by logging into your MyAIG account.
If you have moved since taking out your home policy and you want to insure your new home, you will need to notify us as soon as possible. In order to have your new home covered you will need to be issued a new quote. Once you have been issued a new quote and your policy is accepted you will receive a new policy schedule, receipt and statement of fact.
During your policy period, you may have bought or received something new or valuable to you. Often this means that you'll want to ensure this is added to your home contents insurance. Once we are informed of the item you wish to add, we can add this to your policy to be covered on an 'all risks' basis. This may affect your premium and will mean that we will send you an updated policy schedule and receipt for adding this item to your policy.
If you need a copy of your documents or didn't receive your documents by email you should always let us know as soon as possible so that we can reissue these to you. We also keep a copy of our policy wordings available online on our home page in case you need to view this in a hurry. It's important that your email address is valid and available to receive emails upon submitting this request.
Please see our Terms Of Business Agreement document for details on our charges. You will need to pay any charges due, and accept any terms and conditions changes, prior to any changes being made to your policy.
